Microblading & Brow feathering in Cape Town
Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin.
This technique produces a very natural looking eyebrow by creating individual hair strokes. It is also commonly referred to as 3D Brows, embroidery technique, or feather technique. No more ‘tattooed’, solid-looking brows!
What is the procedure like?
Using a blade creates sharper, more angular strokes. With the blade, you create slices in the skin, rub the pigment on top and let it sit. This procedure takes approximately 1.5hours. One client, one blade! Topical anaesthetic is used throughout the procedure to maximise client comfort.
Aftercare:
Do not get your eyebrows wet during the healing phase. As tempting as it may be…do not pick at them as it will result in pigment loss in that area….in other words “leave them alone”. A topical ointment can be applied if you are the “picky” type.
Microblading fades the most in the first few weeks, so it's easy to panic and feel unhappy with your result at first. Often, you may need to do two sessions to get the final look. Microblading does not last as long as a permanent eyebrow tattoo as pigment is not deposited as deep into the skin as a tattoo.
Risks:
Minimal to no risk with proper at home care and by following the instructions provided by the technician after the procedure.
